i was born in dhaka, bangladesh and moved to southern california at a very young age. growing up in la, i discovered that i was an old soul; interested in vintage fashions, classic movies, pin-ups and tattoos. these are the core influences in my work and style. death is also a huge influence in my work. but it's not what you think. death is a part of life and if you think about it, from the time we are born, death - more so how to avoid it - becomes an obsession. i suppose in a way i am trying to show that death isn't as scary as it appears to be. don't get me wrong, it is definitely hard to deal with when someone passes away. but instead of fearing it, i propose that we use death as a means to live our lives instead of living in fear.
